Diana C. Pimentel is a Chemist from the University of Quindío-Colombia and PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Río Cuarto–Argentina, she is currently finishing a master’s degree in Biotechnology at the same university.

During her PhD Diana has acquired multidisciplinary training in areas such as beekeeping, microbiology and phytochemistry. Her research focuses on the area of bee health, specifically on the control of a pathogenic bacterium using plant extracts. She has participated in several research projects in Argentina and Colombia. She is passionate about research and exploring new areas of knowledge.
