Luisa Nunes is a Forest ecologist, a researcher, and a Professor in Entomology (PhD), Ecology and Biological resilience at the Escola Superior Agrária de CasteloBranco/IPCB, Portugal.

In her activity as a naturalist, she visits many places, especially forests and make detailed observations that serve both for scientific work and for illustration. Over the years Luisa has published 17 written and illustrated books about species and habitats from the national areas to the most remote regions of the world. Her scientific publications are based on insect behavior or forest ecology.
